The Bootleg Racing Series was founded in 1994 and utilized the Papyrus sim racing software with short track “mods.” When Papyrus folded, so did BRS. The series was taken off the shelf in 2013 and became known as the Bootleg Racing League. BRL utilizes the iRacing platform to provide short track sim racing series.

BRL is a sim racing league with its focus on American short tracks.
